Volunteer

There are many ways, both big and small, to get involved with Christ Community.  Whether it is pre-construction demolition at the Widows Home or answering phones in our office we can find a place for you to help.  

To Become a Volunteer

Step One:

Fill out an application and information sheet (links to both are below) and send them to our volunteer coordinator via email (volunteer@christcommunityaugusta.org) or regular mail, or you can bring them to our office. 

Step Two:

Attend a volunteer orientation session.  This will explain where we have come from, where we are now, where we want to go and how our volunteers fit into our mission and vision.  We will also give you a tour of our current facilities.  We also require you to fill out a confidentiality statement and submit to a background check. 

Step Three:

We would like you to indicate, as best as you can, which days and hours you are available to volunteer and in which area you are interested in volunteering.  We have divided our volunteer efforts into two areas:

Support Staff - These volunteers help us with the operations of our clinic.  Tasks include shredding paper, organizing supplies, patient hospitality, participating on a prayer team, and helping with community outreach.

Clinic Staff - These volunteers have some medical background and are certified to work with patients on a medical level.  This includes Nurses, Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants.
